Richard DeDomenici makes work that is social, playful, political and beautiful – although rarely all at once.
He makes use of conceptual art tactics in combination with an irreverent pop sensibility to critique and intervene in public behavior and rhetoric.
Richard has made work in 22 countries, shown work in countless galleries, been shortlisted for many prestigious awards, published several books, made numerous tv shows and lectured at a multitude of venerable institutions. He is an Artsadmin Associate Artist, and in 2016 will be Tweeter-in-Residence at the Adelaide Festival.

In The Death of Social Housing Richard will be inviting members of the public to join a funeral cortege on a route from East London towards the Barbican, where there will be a reception by the lakeside.
